Total Failure
Summery:
Nanzhao, an ancient country currently the only state ruled by Cobra, Duke was preparing for his mission of trying tin infiltrate the place, However he does feel quite nervous, so he was talking to his old friend and fellow field commander Ripcord.
Duke voiced to Ripcord(over an encrypted telecommunications system) about his uneasy about going to the mission without his full team(as Flint broke his leg and arm and Lady Jaye was on maternal leave), Ripcord reassured his friend, before closing the communications as they were approaching Nanzhao.
In his office, a cobra communications officer reported to Serpentor of picking up the communication of Duke, and he believes that their planning an invasion of Nanzhao, though usually much crueller to his enemies, Serpentor told him to get the G.I Joe arrested as soon as they arrived.
At the same time, Storm shadow was patrolling the hallway when he picked out a conversation between Zartan and Destro, listening in to the conversation, he could hear Zartan joking about one of his many times he was sent to assassinate people.
Storm Shadow got interested in one stormy he was telling about, Zartan once boasted about assassinating an old ninja master from Clan Arashikage, though he didn’t realise right away, Storm Shadow eventually connected the dots, and realised Zartan was the one that killed his own master.
He walked away to the other side of the hallway, and though to himself. He was already sick of Serpentor’s cruel rule, being crueller then Cobra commander, he may have stayed loyal if he hadn’t found out that his master killer was Zartan, he just hopes he can meet his rival again so he can tell him the news.
A little later, most of the G.I.Joe unit(minus Snake eyes, who arrived earlier within the country) were planning to get out of the Nanzhao airport when they were arrested by the Cobra secret police. Being knocked out, the secret police drove them to the main base.
Duke woke up with his other three present teammates Scarlett, Heavy duty and Sci-fi within a containment cell, they were greeted by Serpentor. Though expected to be silenced, Serpentor told them he won’t kill them, as he wants to break their morale by making them see the conquest of the world by Cobra.
As he left, everybody was in a bad mood, Heavy Duty didn’t want to spend what’s left of his life in jail, being forced to see the world in Cobra hands, Scarlett reminded the team that they still have Snake eyes is still out there, and he would break them out eventually.
Having arrived at the base, Snake eyes have snuck into the complex, he tried to see if his teammates has arrived in the country yet, but overhearing some of the guards, he realised his friends were captured and was within the base.
Though he was distress about his friends capture, he was relieved that they were in the same base, and he hoped he can save them in time, unsure of what Serpentor would do to them. At the same time, at the back of the complex, two figures approached the back entrance.
Those two figures were Old snake and Cobra commander, once knocking on the door, they were let into the zealous Big boa, who acted as a spy within Serpentor controlled cobra. Once in, Cobra commander told himself he will be in charge again, and Serpentor will finally pay for his treason.

Notes:
As Lady Jaye is on Maternity leave, Both Lady Jaye and Flint are probably married at this point and have their first child(at least), why Flint's leg is broken is unknown.
Ripcord is a field commander just like Duke.
