Mystery of Hourglass
Summery:
In the City of Harmonex, Barrelroll was with Avensis, Thunderhead, Tankette, Groundshaker and Scorchfire as they handcuff the Decepticons Slipstrike, XL-917 and XL-571, having captured them on patrol.
As they prepared to take then back to base. Barrelroll noticed something flying in the Sky. Suspecting that it could be a Decepticon. She notified her fellow Autobots before flying off, with Scorchfire following her for backup.
She and Scorchfire quickly catched up to the bot Barrelroll saw, who seems to be a Decepticon who turned into a red Starfighter. She tried to fire at the Decepticon to take him/her down, only for said Decepticon to just disappear in a flash of Green Light.
Confused about her disappearance, Barrelroll tried to search for where the Decepticon could have gone, only giving up her search for the time being after being called back to base by Bigbang. Over the next few years, Barrelroll would keep having encounters with this mysterious Decepticon.
However she would fail every attempt to capture him/her at every encounter. As the mysterious Decepticon used his/her powers to either teleport away, or slow or stop Barrelroll in her tracks. One day during a campaign in Tetrahex. Barrelroll was having her Energon rations with Dropshot, Bell, Cybercrane and Trafficab as they talked about recent events.
When Barrelroll mentioned her encounters with the stange Decepticon, Dropshot got interested, for he to has encountered the same bot on several occasions. After they finished their Energon rations Dropshot informed Barrelroll of his own encounters with the bot, and the both of them decided to try and hunt down this mysterious bot together.
Later on that day, the both of them decided to go on patrol, with the both of them keeping their eyes on anything that was red or flying. Sure enough the mysterious Red Decepticon made an appearance, and Barrelroll and Dropshot gave chase.
Barrelroll and Dropshot proceeded to start blasting at the mysterious con, who proceeded to teleport out of the way, however strangely instead of using her teleportation to flee, she instead only used it to dodge their attacks.
They continued to chase the mysterious bot, being unable to take said bot down and capture her. They eventually ended up in the outskirts of Tetrahex, where the both of them noticed a large flash of light that the bot who they been trying to capture was going to.
They decided to investigate, and once they got closer they realised the gravity of the situation, as the Decepticon Flamestorm was bring waste to the nearby area as violent surges of plasma akin to a solar flare erupted from her body, melting anything and anyone that got to close.
Dropshot realised that the mysterious bot was heading directly towards Flamestorm. Said bot finally transformed, as Hourglass proceeded to use her time based abilities to save Flamestorm, temporarily stabilising her.
As Combat Sentries, Photonstorm, Stellar storm and Trannis went to Flamestorm in order to contain her before her powers become unstable again. Hourglass proceeded to teleport infront of Barrelroll and Dropshot, before teleporting them to somewhere else.
They both ended up on an abandoned city on the planet Thrush, where they were face to face with the bot they have been chasing for years. The prepared for a fight, only to be surprised that Hourglass only wanted to talk.
Hourglass proceeded to introduce herself, explaining that she was a time traveler from the future. Barrelroll asked if that was the case what was she doing in her time period? With Hourglass explaining that she's making sure certain events of the past take place in order to guide the timeline to the best future.
Dropshot asked if she was working for Megatron, which Hourglass said she didn't, as she had no loyalty to any bot from this time period, and that she dose her actions regardless of which faction she belong to.
Hourglass then said that she was going to return them back to Tetrahex now, however she told them to stop trying to shoot her down or follow her, as it was getting on her nerves. She then proceeded to teleport Barrelroll and Dropshot back to base, whilst she traveled to a different part of the timeline.
Back at their base, Barrelroll and Dropshot contemplated on what they learned today. Barrelroll wonders what exactly is this "best future" that Hourglass was referring to, and wonders if that despite what she claims, she changing the timeline to help the Decepticons.
Dropshot says their no point in dwelling on it, as Hourglass probably already succeeded in whatever she set on to accomplish. Feeling a bit hungry, Barrelroll asked if they wanted to eat Energon rations with her again, with Dropshot accepting her request as they both went to eat dinner.
All the while Hourglass continued to travel across the timeline as she heads to the next point in time that she desire to influence in order to bring about the best future she want's to make sure comes to pass.
