Rom vs G.I.Joe 2 of 3
Summery:
At Rom base, Joe Colton explained about how he was attacked by some of these “Dier Wraiths” a while back, he survived but at the cost of his arm, which was turned into an Dier wraith clone of himself and has been on the run since.
Rom outfitted a new arm on Colton, the process painful, but worthwhile as it felt like a real one. Beach-head said that they should go to base to get rid of this Colton imposter, but Rom cautioned that their probably several Wraiths already within the Joes ranks, and that they need to be careful.
Meanwhile, Ripcord is in the medical bay along with Doc having a friendly conversation. While the two chatted the false Joe Colton went by, and Doc brought up that their leader has been acting strangely lately, Ripcord took note, but told him that it’s probably of Colton’s mood swings.
Doc noticed Ms. Jiminez, a popular politician, following him along with some other Joe operatives. Doc said his instincts are telling him that something’s off about them. Ripcord responded that if they turn out to be Synthroid clones, they would be ready.
Meanwhile, Rom, Beach-head, and The real Joe Colton sneak up to the G.I.Joe base. Rom did a quick scan and showed that the Joes guarding the entrance are Dier wraiths. Rom wanted to kill the wraiths but Beach-Head had a different idea.
He and Colton went up to the base, where the guards went up to them for Identification. Beach-head starting telling them what happened, but that made the guards try an arrest them. However they were saved by Rom, who killed the guards.
Rom made a hole in the doorway and told them to get inside the building to confront the fake Colton while he dealt with the Dier wraiths. Colton made Rom promise not to purposely kill his actual men, and Rom says he’ll try his best as he deploys a drone along with himself.
Beach-Head and Joe Colton made their way into the building, where they were stopped by several Joes. Beach-head managed to get them to take them to central command, where they were faced to face with the false Joe Colton.
The Dier Wraith Joe Colton started accusing him of betraying the Joes and trying to replace him with a Synthroid. However the real Joe accused him of being the fake. Their argument went on long enough that the Joes started noticing something strange about who they think is the commander.
Sci-Fi comes in and analyses both of them and concluded the Real Joe to be the one with the Metal hand while the fake Colton seemed to be something else entirely. The Dier Wraith masquerading as Colton revealed his true form and tried to kill Sci-fi, only to be killed by Rom.
The Joes armed their weapons, especially the ones who was fighting him a minute ago. However Joe Colton got them to stand down and tried to explain how he was on their side. While the Joes debated on Rom, the Spaceknight activated his Dier Wraith scanners.
He scanned the room and concluded that many of the Joes present are actually Dier Wraiths, as well as the women who was next to. When he highlighted this information to the Joes, Ms. Jiminez first denied the accusation, but once Rom rescanned her and got the same result, things changed.
Ms. Jiminez transformed into her Dier wraith form, and Rom recognised her for being the sorceress “Jiminez”(despite her name literally being called out beforehand). Jiminez congratulated him on finding her but said that he has given her the perfect opportunity.
When Rom asked for her to elaborate, all of the Dier Wraiths in the room turned into their normal state. Jiminez declared that she and the Wraiths will finally kill Rom for his contribution to the destruction of their home world!
