Spotlight: Airachnid
On an unnamed ice planet, Airachnid was travelling through the snowy terrain as she made her way to a Decepticon outpost on foot, having been sent by Balefulspirit to investigate a loss of communications between the base and Decepticon command.
As she walked though the snow, she was internally complaining about having to be on this frigid rock, as well as lamenting the fact that if it wasn’t for the high winds she would have reached the outpost by now.
She was close to the base when she saw a herd of native wildlife as they travelled through the snow. In the Back of her mind Airachnid wanted to and kill one of them in order to add their head to her collection. However she decided she can do that later, as she had a mission to complete first.
When she eventually did reach the base, she observed as several Vehicons were lying in the snow, with most of them seems to be dead. As she neared the mouth of the base, One of the Vehicons reached out and tried to warn her of something, however before she could finish her sentence the Vehicon died, and not wanting to waste more time Airachnid proceeded to enter the base.
As expected, everywhere she looked the place seemed to be totally ransacked, with everyone inside seemingly been killed, however she noticed a hatch that wasn’t opened, and using her acid, proceeded to dissolve the hatch hinges in order to climb inside.
Once she was at the bottom of the hatch, she looked around to see a lab, which to her surprise is still fully operational. She then heard a noise, as she turned around and see a bot at the corner. Said bot turned around, and Airachnid recognised that bot as Reptillion, who proceeded to greet her, though asked how did she get clearance. Airachnid said she got in via opening the hatch whilst investigating this place, and asked what was with all the dead Vehicons.
Confused by what Airachnid meant, Airachnid told him to come with her as she showed him what happened outside of the lab, as Reptillion was appalled by the destruction and death he failed to intervene in.
Reptillion asked who could have done this, with Airachnid saying that’s what she was wondering, hearing a loud sound.The both of them went back into the outpost, where they would find their culprit.
To Reptillion horror, all of his equipment was being destroyed by the perpetrator of the attack, the Autobot Elite Guard member known as Blockus, who proceeded to turn around once he noticed the two Decepticons.
Blockus immediately engaged the both of them in combat, with the both of them trying their best not to get killed by Blockus, when Reptillion asked why is he destroying his work, Blockus explained that his research into reality based science cannot continue, and that he will put and end to him and his work permanently.
As Blockus was about to kill Reptillion, Airachnid spotted a blaster, she used her webbing to bring the baslter to her and blasted Blockus with it, with the beam not only sending him to the planet moon, but also vaporising it.
Shocked at how powerful this blaster is, Airachnid asked about the nature of this weapon. Reptillion explained that it was called the Astral blaster, and that it was an Cybertronian artefact of unknown origin he was studying.
Reptillion then proceeded to start looking around for something, eventually finding a datacore which he put inot a metal suitcase. Reptillion said he was glad that it wasn’t destroyed in the battle, as with the datacore most of his research from this outpost is still safe.
Airachnid said they should go back to Balefulespirit now, as their was no reason to stay here anymore, Reptillion asked Airachnid to give him a few minutes to take the most important items from the base, and Airachnia let him do so.
Meanwhile in Space, Blockus was floating in the spacedust that used to be one of the Ice planet moons, angered at being shot with such a powerful blaster, but otherwise he was fine.
